Champions crowned at Thomasville YMCA 3v3 soccer league

THOMASVILLE — As the Thomasville YMCA’s first year of 3v3 soccer comes to a close, several teams came away with gold. In age divisions ranging from U10 to U14, these teams played hard and we rewarded for their competitive spirit and determination.

For the U10 division, the girls team SASS was named champion while team Leones took the boys title. In U12, the cleverly named Chicks with Kicks won the championship.

The U12 boys title rests in the hands of the Thrashers. The U14 boys title was awarded to the team known as Pictured.

This was the YMCA’s first year putting on a 3v3 soccer league and its safe to say it was a success. The intent of the league is to provide kids who love the beautiful game a chance to continue to compete in the summer months.

“That’s one of the things we do here at the Thomasville YMCA,” said Thomasville YMCA marketing and development director Katie Ketchum at the start of the season. “We are always trying to fill gaps within the community.”
