TU Social Work students hold food drive to help local soup kitchen

BRINGING STUDENTS TOGETHER: In addition to holding a food drive for the Rescue Mission Soup Kitchen, Thomas University Social Work students volunteered to help with the food service on April 11. In an effort to support the Thomas County community, Thomas University Social Work seniors plan and execute a community service project each year. This year the students are conducting a food drive for Rescue Mission Soup Kitchen, located at 521 Madison St. in Thomasville.

The students are collecting canned goods and non-perishable food items for the soup kitchen. Donations may be dropped off at the soup kitchen and on campus in the TU Library, Campus Center, Smith-Bonvillian Hall lobby and the Student Life Center. The food drive lasts through May 3.
