The Thomasville City School’s decision for most of their students to not participate outside in the solar eclipse event is quite disappointing! I was appalled to be told that Scholars’ students are gifted and talented and therefore basically too inquisitive to safely view the eclipse outside. What a rare phenomenon that was missed by so many potential scientists! Next time, take a note from the county school system where over 7000 students (beginning at age 3), staff and parents safely watched outside.
