Johnson named Community Service Award recipient

THOMASVILLE- Linda Drew Johnson is the recipient of the John Lee of Nansemond Chapter, National Society Colonial Dames Seventeenth Century Community Service Award for 2024. Johnson is a native of Grady County. She is a professional business person with a rich history of leadership, community involvement, and dedication to her family and work.
She has served her community as President of the Grady County Chamber of Commerce, receiving its “Above and Beyond Award” and “Woman of the Year” Award. Thomas University recognized Johnson with its Alumni Award. She has served as President of the Kiwanis Club of Cairo, receiving its highest recognition, the George F. Hixon Fellowship Award.
Johnson has served Cairo First Methodist Church as a member of the Finance Committee and the Board of Trustees. She chairs the Zebulon Theatre Board and is enthusiastic about promoting arts and cultural events in the community. She is a great supporter of youth sports.
Johnson is married to Bobby and they take great pride in their family’s legacy as fifth generation dairy farmers. Their immediate family consists of two sons and their families and a daughter and her family, and six grandsons.
She currently serves as the Executive Vice President of United National Bank, having served over forty years in the banking business.
Johnson’s mother, the late Joan Drew, was an original signer of the charter, 2007, establishing the John Lee of Nansemond Chapter, National Society Colonial Dames Seventeenth Century.
