The Thomasville Junior Service League is an all-women, nonprofit volunteer organization. Founded in 1932, their mission is dedicated to meeting the economic, cultural, and medical needs of children in Thomasville and Thomas County. All proceeds from their activities support children’s programs in the area. Annually, Junior Service League’s benevolence activities include Project Rosebud, a program to empower 9th grade girls; the Eyeglass Program, which underwrites the expense of eye exams and new glasses for children without insurance; and numerous other opportunities which assist local children.
On behalf of the membership of the Thomasville Junior Service League, they thank participants for their ongoing support for 90 years and hope that they will join them on December 2nd at 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. for the Red Nose Run 5k and 1 Mile Fun Run for the Kids.
”This is one of our oldest and most popular events and we look forward to seeing everyone out there to help raise money for the Junior Service League,” said JSL Vice-President Danisha Carter.
”It is only through support of community partners like you that we are able to continue to provide experiences and support for the children of our community,” President Katie Rush concluded.
