Kelly Brinson

Mr. Kelly Brinson was born in Coolidge, GA on August 23, 1933 to the late Will Brinson and Mamie Brinson. He received his education in Pavo, GA and worked for many years as a farmer, pulp wood at Roger’s and Son of Valdosta, GA. He was a very loving person that believed in hard work and caring for his family. He loved gardening, fishing and his grandchildren. He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior any years ago and joined Bell Mission Holiness Church on HWY 122 in Thomasville, GA, but in 2012 he re-dedicated his life back to Christ as his personal Lord and Savior. He was united in holy matrimony in 1953 to the late Ida Mae Brinson in Thomas County. He departed this life Saturday, August 11, 2012 at Glen-Mor Nursing Home in Thomasville, GA and had fourteen children. In loving memory of his deceased children – Dorothy Jean Shaw and Shirley Ann Brinson. He leaves to cherish his memories fourteen children – Arthur James Revels (Shirley), Coolidge, GA, Jeanette Curry (Charlie), Thomasville, GA, Annette Spencer (David), Moultrie, GA, Kellie Mae Harris (Joseph), Thomasville, GA, Willie Lee Brinson (Dorothy), Thomasville, GA, Fannie Brinson, Thomasville, GA, Frank R. Brinson (Mary) Tallahassee, FL, Jerry Brinson, Thomasville, GA, Patricia Simon (Jenkins), Boston, GA, Tommy Brinson (Annie Mae), Thomasville, GA, Darius Brinson and Cedric Brinson, Valdosta, GA. In Memory if his deceased siblings – Will Arthur Brinson, Grant Brinson, Hansel Peter Brinson, Alma Jean Peoples and Lee Jr. Brinson. He leaves behind seven siblings to cherish his memories – Rosetta Jackson, Herbert Brinson, A. J. Brinson, Edder Brinson, Nadine Reddick, Pearline Revels, all of Thomas County and Louise Wallace of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, fifty-one grandchildren, forty-four great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives, nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the Disciples of Jesus Ministries, 228 Augusta Ave., Thomasville. Rev. Dr. Israel Blake, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at Hardshell Cemetery on HWY 122 off of Vonier Rd. in Thomas Co. Family and friends are asked to assemble at 12 Noon at 132 Orchard Lane, Thomasville for the processional.
