Grant Returns: Grammy winner plays Wild Adventures

VALDOSTA — The last time Amy Grant played Wild Adventures, she was joined by husband Vince Gill in 2009.

Since, Gill returned to Valdosta to perform for the Georgia Christian School annual banquet. Now, Grant returns to Wild Adventures Theme Park to perform.

The six-time Grammy Award-winning artist plays 8 p.m. Saturday, April 14, as the second performance of the 2018 Flash Foods/Circle K Summer Concert Series  at Wild Adventures.

“It’s always a treat to provide Saturday night concerts to our guests,” said Adam Floyd, Wild Adventures public relations manager. “And with Splash Island Water Park open as well, it’s going to be a full day of excitement at the park.”

Amy Grant is a celebrated artist best known for hits such as “El Shaddai” and “Baby, Baby.” She was the first Christian music artist to have a platinum record, and has since received six Grammy Awards, 26 Dove Awards, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and a star on the Music City Walk of Fame, Floyd said.

Splash Island Water Park is open every Saturday and Sunday in April, featuring Ohana Bay, the water park’s new expansion of seven waterslides, additional shaded seating and a family bathroom.

Admission to 2018 concerts, Splash Island Water Park and the new MEGABUGS! Adventure Encounters is included with a 2018 Season Pass. Visit WildAdventures.com for show times and park hours.
