CAIRO- What started off as a small business on a wooden spool inside of This is Home for Us in Whigham, Georgia, is now a fully stocked clothing boutique on Hwy. 84 West in Cairo.
The Ranchy Peach, owned by Brandie Cecil, pays homage to her western background, but adds the Southern charm she is well known for.

With humble beginnings inside This is Home for Us, Cecil quickly saw that her clientele was growing.
“We added our website in 2019,” she said. “After much growth with online sales during 2020, I took running the boutique full time, leaving my booth rental in This is Home for Us, and working out of 10×10 building that was renovated for the boutique at our home.”
The building renovated for Cecil’s home was a temporary fix.
“That same year we continued to grow and more space was needed so that is when we opened what was to be our “warehouse” and then also became a small storefront.”
Once Cecil had dipped her toes into the storefront, she knew she wanted a bigger location with more space to grow. However, Cecil knew it couldn’t just be any place.
Describing her unique style as “spicy cowgirl,” she said the building had to have the “wow factor” she was going for and be a place The Ranchy Peach could plant their roots for the long haul.

That is when she found the building on Hwy. 84 and began preparing to open during the busiest shopping season of the year.
The Ranchy Peach has now been open for approximately two weeks and Cecil said the local community has been amazing.
“With us opening during the busiest time of year, we haven’t seen all of our regular customers, but we have had a lot of new customers because of our sign out front,” Cecil said.
Even with a brick and mortar location, Cecil said her online sales are continuing to grow through her multiple platforms such as her website, social media app and Facebook group.
“Last time I checked, we are in 46 states,” she said proudly.
Cecil said she believes their niche market is what draws people to the boutique, as they offer western fashion, including the turquoise and cowboy boots, but fast fashion and graphic tees as well.
“Our graphic tees are what we are based around, but we really cater to everyone,” she said. “I would say our biggest customer group ranges from mid-20’s to mid-30’s.”
However, that doesn’t stop Cecil’s 92-year old grandma from stopping in and being her number one supporter, donning all the latest trends.
Cecil is thankful for her family’s support and all the hard work that went into getting here.
“I’m just really thankful for the new location and exposure we’re going to get here,” she said. “There’s been some setbacks of course, but I’m excited to see what happens.”
The Ranchy Peach is open from 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. on Monday-Friday and from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. on Saturday. Cecil said they will offer one late day during the week, which customers can check for on the Facebook page.
