Services for Nathaniel McIntyre Sr. are at 1 p.m., Saturday, May 30, 2015, at First Missionary Baptist Church, 110 W. Calhoun St., Thomasville. The Rev. Jeremy Rich, pastor, Bishop Israel Blake Sr. officiating and interment follows in Peaceful Rest Cemetery. He was a son of the late Henry McIntyre Sr. and May Lizzie McIntyre and attended Greenwood School. He started working at the age of 15 for Greenwood Plantation and retired at the age of 65. He was a family man, loved to smile and have a good time. He was a dancing machine on the dance floor and his lifelong hobby was fishing. He absolutely loved to fish. Survivors include four daughters, Maria McIntyre, Cecily Forbes (Henry), Priscilla McIntyre, Amiracle McIntyre all of Thomasville; four sons, Timothy Jones (Conquista), Nathaniel McIntyre Jr. (Natisha), Daniel McIntyre, Cedric McIntyre of Thomasville; brother, Henry McIntyre Jr. (Josephine) of Thomasville; three sisters, Helen Clark, May Lizzie Bryant of Thomasville, Virginia Chance (Alvin) of St. Petersburg, Florida; 11 grandchildren, Whitney Brown, Shaquana Gibson, Jansa Jones, Keith McIntyre, Raymond Gibson, Jonkevius Richardson, Aubre’Ona McIntyre, Amber Richardson, Ron’Dasia Graham, Aliyah Jones, Sunyae McHellon all of Thomasville; one great-grandchild, Layla Robinson of Thomasville; numerous nieces, nephews, cousin; one special cousin, Freddy McIntyre (Celia) of Appalachicola, Florida; and a special companion, Betty Jean Hall of Thomasville. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Norma Grant, Marie Forley; three brothers, Moses McIntyre, Walter “Slick” McIntyre, Joseph McIntyre; and a special companion, Vanessa Griggs. Family and friends are asked to assemble at noon at 1023 Magnolia St., Thomasville for the procession. The viewing is from 1 to 8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home. — Hadley’s Funeral Home
