Local fraternity awards scholarships

Thomasville Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. awarded three scholarships to area students during its “College Signing Day” program, said Polemarch/President Eddie Brown Sr.

Marvin Dawson, vice-polemarch/Guide Right chairman, served as program facilitator and Brother Nathaniel Abrams Jr. was guest speaker.

Scholarship recipients were:

Jordan Powell, Thomasville High School graduate, son of Mr. and Mrs. Allen and Fannetta Powell. Powell will be attending Valdosta State University.

Brendan Brock, Thomas County Central High School graduate, son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel and Tangela Brock. Brock will be attending Valdosta State University.

Zack Anderson, Cairo High School graduate, son of Mr. and Mrs. Chris and LaFaye Thompson. Anderson will be attending Fort Valley State University.
