South Georgia Home Showcase offers exhibits for builders, homeowners

TIFTON — The 2018 South Georgia Home Showcase is set for Feb. 13 at the UGA Tifton Campus Conference Center, according to a press release.

The South Georgia Home Showcase is a trade show and education event, hosting 100+ manufacturer and supplier exhibitors highlighting their building and home improvement products. These global, regional and local companies will share their latest products, materials, and technologies on best practices for building or renovating your home

Beginning at 8 a.m., the full day of activities will feature new, innovative products; live, interactive product demonstrations; cooking demonstrations; DIY project demonstrations; and tours of the UGA Future Farmstead, a net-zero energy house. AIA Continuing Education Classes will be offered and USDA will host seminars on their Rural Home Loan program.

The event will conclude with “Sunset Tifton” on the show floor, a reception hosted by Tifton—Tift County Chamber of Commerce. Throughout the day, attendees will have a chance to win more than $20,000 in prizes and giveaways.

“Our intent is to bring the building products shows we attend to our customers in South Georgia,” said Jay Short, in the release. “Contractors and homeowners will have the opportunity to learn the pros and cons of a wide array of building products.”

The 2018 South Georgia Home Showcase Grand Prize is a Kohler Whole House propane powered generator donated by Conger LP Gas.

“If you’re planning on building or remodeling, the showcase is an event you don’t want to miss,” said Dan Richardson of Conger LP Gas. “We believe first-hand product information direct from the manufacturers will help both builders and homeowners make educated decisions on the products they use in their next project.”

Details and additional information can be found at www.gahomeshowcase.com.

Pre-registration is encouraged and free. Registration at the door is $10 with all proceeds going to Habitat for Humanity.

The event is sponsored by Short & Paulk, Conger LP Gas, University of Georgia-Tifton Campus, Tifton Tourism Board, Tifton – Tift County Chamber of Commerce and USDA-Rural Development.
