Students at Jerger Elementary School are making sure they fly a flag in observance for Memorial Day. These students are in Lorrie Williams’ kindergarten class. Her paraprofessional is Sarah Young.

The students were given USA flags by Sheila Tucker on behalf of John B. Gordon Chapter 383 UDC.

School media specialist Marcia Millere was given two books to place in the school library. The name of the book is “The Night Before the Fourth of July,” written by Natasha Wing and illustrated by Amy Wummer. The book tells about families from all around the United States of America and how they celebrate the Fourth of July. It is a colorful book and child friendly for reading.
