THOMASVILLE — The Brookwood Warriors got their 2022 baseball campaign off on a winning note, beating Terrell Academy 12-8 Tuesday.

Terrell tied the game at 5-5 in the top of the sixth but the Warrior staged a seven-run rally in the bottom of the inning. 

Isaac Richardson was 3-for-4 and drove in two runs, and Camden Harbin went 2-for-3 with a triple and three RBIs. Zack Counts went 2-for-4 with a triple and drove in one run.

Brookwood finished with 11 hits. 

Will Elkins struck out eight and gave up one unearned run in three innings. 

Daylor Drawdy was 3-for-4 for Terrell and Dozier Swain drove in three runs.

Brookwood hosts Maclay on Friday at 5 p.m. and visits Lanier County on Saturday at 1 p.m.
