Wooooooooooooooo!: Tift Theatre to host ‘The Nature Boy’ Ric Flair

TIFTON — “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair is playing the Tift Theatre Nov. 8, according to a press release.

The Hall of Fame wrestler will speak about his life story, trials and tribulations, and everything that has gone into his more than 40 years as a professional wrestler.

A 16-time heavyweight champion, who earned the moniker “Nature Boy” early in his career has been an influential icon to so many generations of people.

Billed as the “dirtiest player in the game,” he is known for his athletic ability, charisma and a larger than life persona. His trademark “Wooooo!” and his signature promos continue to live on in the wrestling world.

In 2012, Flair became the first ever two-time inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame: the first in 2008 and the second in 2012 with the Four Horsemen.

Throughout his career, he has worked for a number of wrestling organizations, including the WWE, NWA, WCW and TNA.

Now retired from the ring and currently under a Legends contract with the WWE, Flair continues to work, doing public appearances and signings. Working with his daughter Charlotte, a WWE wrestler herself, the two collaborated on a joint autobiography “Second Nature” released in September 2017 by St. Martin’s Press.

Flair was also the subject of one of ESPN’s 30 for 30 documentaries, which aired in November 2017.

Along with general admission, a limited amount of VIP Packages are also available. VIP Packages include: admission into the venue one hour before doors open to the public, a private meet & greet with Ric Flair, photo-op with Flair and autograph (guest must provide the item they would like autographed).

Doors will open at 7 p.m. with “The Nature Boy” taking the stage at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets go on sale Thursday, Aug. 23 at 10 a.m. at FreshTix.com.
