TCMS Lego League competes at Georgia Tech

Thomas County Middle School’s Fast and the Furious Lego League team recently traveled to Atlanta for the Lego State Championship. The event was held at Georgia Tech and included 18 other teams from around the state. By the end of the competition, the TCMS team, led by Samantha Sturrup and Will Hanna, placed 12th overall.

This year, the Lego challenge asked students to enhance quality of life with faster, safer, and more efficient delivery of goods around the globe. The team began meeting back in September and developed a ‘Grab Pad’ prototype, which enabled food delivery services to expand their radius of customers. In addition to the project, Lego students are also required to code and create a robot for Lego games. Overall, this 2022 season was a huge success for Fast and the Furious Foodies.
