Jasper man charged in Wednesday accident
LIVE OAK, Fla. — A Jasper driver was charged with careless driving following a two-vehicle wreck on U.S. Highway 129 Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Live Oak Police Department, Joe Sapp, 85, of Jasper was waiting to pull out of a parking lot when his foot slipped off the brake pedal.
The report states that Sapp’s vehicle entered U.S. 129, in front on a semi-truck driven by Larry Gaffney, 59, of Newberry.
According to Chief Buddy Williams, there were no injuries reported by Gaffney, Sapp or Sapp’s passenger, Sally Sapp, 81, also of Jasper.
