Cook edges Thomasville Bulldogs
THOMASVILLE — The Cook Hornets scored four times in the third inning and held on for a 4-3 win over Thomasville Bulldogs on Tuesday night.
Keyshawn Lucy allowed one unearned run on six hits and four walks over five innings for the Hornets.
Gabe Duncan went the first 4 2/3 innings for the Bulldogs. He struck out five and allowed four runs on six hits and two walks. Ben Rawlings allowed just one walk while striking out two in 2 1/3 scoreless innings.
Hurston Waldrep was 2-for-3 in the loss and Harrison Stewart had a triple. Jaylen Jones accounted for the lone RBI for the Bulldogs, who left 10 runners on base.
