Elementary students from Harper, Jerger and Scott elementary schools had the opportunity to gain a better understanding of the outdoors. Students in Thomasville City Schools Gifted and Talented Program (GATES) traveled to St. Simons Island on February 11-13, 2019, to Driftwood Education Center, where they spent three days and two nights engaged in planned activities of a coastal classroom. 

This trip was made possible for some students through generous donations by Kiwanis Club, Rotary Club, and Hurst Boiler. Pictured are students of the GATES Program expressing their thanks to their community sponsors.
