Archbold welcomes new providers

Archbold Memorial Hospital recently welcomed three new providers to the hospital’s medical staff — gastroenterologist Scott Farquhar, MD; family nurse practitioner Sadie Burke, DNP, APRN, FNP-C and physician assistant Edie Willis, PA-C.

Burke earned a bachelor of science degree in exercise science from Valdosta State University in Valdosta, a bachelor of science degree in nursing from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston and a doctorate degree in nursing practice from the Medical University of South Carolina.

She is practicing at Archbold Primary Care in Thomasville. The practice provides primary care for patients of all ages and is currently accepting new patients.

Farquhar, MD, earned a bachelor’s degree from Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts, and a medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. He completed an internship and residency, both in internal medicine, at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh, and a fellowship in gastroenterology at Lankenau Hospital in Philadelphia.

Dr. Farquhar has been treating, diagnosing, and managing gastrointestinal and liver disorders for over 30 years, the last 20 in Valdosta. Dr. Farquhar joins gastroenterologists Louis Lee, MD, Bashar Qumseya, MD and James Sinnott, MD, at Archbold Gastroenterology Group in Thomasville.

Willis earned a bachelor of science degree in biology from Georgia Southern University in Statesboro,and a master of science degree in physician assistant studies from South University in Savannah, Georgia. She will practice with Archbold Nephrology Group in Thomasville.
