Catch up with coaches over breakfast

THOMASVILLE — Don’t bother cooking Tuesday morning, Goal Line Ministries and the Plaza have you covered.

The Thomas University organization is holding its seventh annual Breakfast with the Coaches Tuesday at 6:15 a.m. at The Plaza Restaurant.

That does say a.m., this isn’t brinner.

All four local high school football coaches will be there to talk about their teams. Brookwood’s Shane Boggs, Cairo’s Tom Fallaw, Thomas County Central’s Bill Shaver and Thomasville’s Leroy Ryals will likely talk about the upcoming schedules, star players and more. That will begin at 7 a.m. and will wrap up in time for people to get to school and work.

“People go crazy for football,” Goal Line Ministries founder and director John Rainey said. “Thomasville is a football town and people love hearing about it.”

That’s clear with the amount of tables already sold. Rainey said around 23 have already been sold, translating to nearly 200 people likely to attend.

Tables are still available and cost $300. Tables seat eight people.

If interested in purchasing a table, contact John Rainey by phone at (229) 221-3227 or email jrainey@goallineministries.org. The event is a fundraiser for Goal Line Ministries, a non-denominational Christian organization at TU. The money go toward staff and events.
