Three arrested for kidnapping, armed robbery

DOWLING PARK, Fla. — The Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office tracked down and arrested a third suspect Sunday wanted for kidnapping and armed robbery in a July 8 incident in Dowling Park.

The SCSO arrested 26-year-old Shannon Adam Stewart, of Live Oak, Sunday on kidnapping and armed robbery charges.

His arrest comes a day after authorities captured Shannon Michael Darling, a 40-year-old from Live Oak, on those same charges.

Stewart had previously been arrested in connection with the case for tampering with evidence. He bonded out on that charge before investigators discovered his additional involvement in the case.

Cheyenne Kelsey Drymond, 22, has already been charged with kidnapping, armed robbery and tampering with evidence in the case.

According to the SCSO, Drymond flagged down the victim July 8 at the boat ramp, stating she was stranded and needed a ride.

While they were talking, a masked male armed with a pistol approached the victim and allegedly threatened to kill him if he didn’t comply, the SCSO release states.

According to the SCSO, the masked man and Drymond forced the victim to drive into Lafayette County before stopping at Twin Rivers State Park in Madison County.

There, they were met by another masked male, armed with a rifle and driving a green truck or van, according to the release.

The victim was then allegedly ordered to get on the ground where he was robbed of his wallet, cell phone and car keys, the release states.

According to the SCSO, the victim ran from the woods and flagged down a passing motorist, who called 911.

Stewart was arrested on the tampering charge after logging into Drymond’s social media account, deleting messages related to the case.
