Scott Elementary students have been a part of the Keep Thomas County Beautiful school program since it started three years ago. The Y.E.S. Initiative aims to educate, engage, and empower students who make a difference in their schools through student-driven environmentally conscious programs. This year the group celebrated their Y.E.S. projects on Earth Day at the Ritz Amphitheater in Downtown Thomasville. Scott’s group was awarded as a Y.E.S. school for its third year in a row. In addition, Keep Thomas County Beautiful hosted an Earth Day Art Contest. Scott students won all of the awards.
