Tomlinson to make stop at Farmer’s Daughter

THOMASVILLE — U.S. Senate candidate Teresa Tomlinson plans to visit Thomasville next month to meet with the public and answer questions.

Farmer’s Daughter Vineyards and Tasting Room will host Tomlinson on Tuesday, August 6 for a two-hour public meet and greet session which will begin at 6 p.m.

Attendees are encouraged to share their stories and concerns with Tomlinson.

“We’re there to talk about what they care about and what anyone wants us to hear,” said Olivia Buckner, events coordinator for the Tomlinson campaign.

Prior to arriving in Thomasville, Tomlinson plans to tour Grady General Hospital in Cairo to discuss rural healthcare, efforts to tackle mental health issues and maternal mortality.

Tomlinson, a Democrat and former mayor of Columbus, announced her intentions to run for the Senate in 2020 earlier this year.

Republican David Perdue, who occupies the seat Tomlinson is vying for, is expected to run for re-election.

Farmer’s Daughter Vineyards has previously hosted Gov. Brian Kemp and state Agriculture Commissioner Gary Black.
