MLK Walk and Festival to hold virtual town hall

The 12th Thomasville MLK Walk and Festival Presents a virtual town hall on Thursday, January 6. This year’s topic will be “Community Unification“ and will be comprised of community stakeholders. 

The virtual event featured on the Walk Faith Facebook page and YouTube page will be facilitated by DeKalb County Superior Court Judge Tangela Barrie, a native of Thomasville. Panelists include Yameriah Baety, youth chair of the event, Thomasville Police Assistant Chief Eric Hampton, Thomas County State Court Judge Mark Mitchell, Melvin Hugans, TNB community reinvestment officer, attorney Doug Silvis, Monica Austin, a local educator and entrepreneur, and Kenneth Thompson, Thomasville city planner. 

The in-person MLK Walk and Festival will be January 15tin Downtown Thomasville. The Virtual event is still in progress. Register to walk or vendor at mlkhumanitarianwalk.org.
