Man arrested for injuries to pregnant woman

CRANDALL, Ga. — A Crandall man was arrested after a 21-year-old pregnant woman said he broke her finger, punched her in both arms and told her he hoped “she loses the baby,” according to a case report.

Christopher Hall, 22, of 10842 Highway 225 N., was charged Tuesday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with aggravated battery and battery against a pregnant female. A Calhoun police officer filed the report for the sheriff’s office after Samantha Rogers went to Gordon Hospital on Sunday.

According to the report, Rogers said Hall broke her finger, “leaving it useless due to the fracture.” She said Hall punched her, “leaving bruises on both (of) her arms.”

“Ms. Rogers did state … that Christopher told her while she was leaving that he hopes that she loses the baby,” the report said.

Hall was being held at the Murray County jail on Wednesday awaiting a bond hearing.
