Cosmos New Music to perform at ACTU’s Fridays at Noon series

Thomas University’s next performance in the Fridays at Noon series will be featuring Cosmos New Music at 12 noon Feb. 22 at Thomasville First United Methodist Church located at 425 N. Broad St.

Cosmos New Music is vibrant, fast-growing ensemble created by five international artists. Aleksandra Pereverzeva, cello; Ayça Çetin, flute; Katsuya Yuasa, clarinet; Pedro Maia, violin; Thaya Kongpakpaisarn, piano.

Cosmos New Music performs rare chamber music that defies and breaks down the barriers between various styles and genres, ultimately blowing the imaginations away of what is considered classical music. Extending from standard classical repertoire to new music with influence of jazz, folk, rock and pop music to creative arrangements, Cosmos presents colorful and engaging performances.

Each member brings a unique perspective, cultural collaboration, and sound originating from different nationalities and backgrounds. Learn more atwww.cosmosnewmusic.com.
