Covey event to show ‘Georgia From the Air’

From the coast to the mountains and everything in-between. Georgia’s nine regions offer well-known and off-the-beaten path gems in cities both big and small.

Begin your journey by exploring “Georgia From the Air,” a 40-minute special from Georgia Public Broadcasting and Red Sky Productions showcasing the wonder, beauty and incredible diversity of the great state of Georgia.

The 2020 kickoff pop-up event will be held January 9 at 7 p.m. at Thomas University’s Flowers Auditorium. Tickets can be purchased online for $15 at coveyfilmfestival.org or $20 at the door. Director Rhett Turner, son of media mogul Ted Turner and who has frequented the area, will be in attendance.

Refreshments will include boiled peanuts and roasted, candied and pied pecans along with sweet tea with lots of lemon and ice cold Coca-Cola.

Proceeds will benefit the Thomasville Community Resource Center and its commitment to children’s education.
