Candidates qualify for city BOE at-large, District 2 seats

THOMASVILLE — Three candidates qualified Friday for the Thomasville City Board of Education at-large seat.

At-large qualifiers are Erin Fielding, Russ Beckham and Karen Gardner Kelso.

Britney Glass qualified for the vacant city BOE District 2 position. 

As of 2 p.m. Friday, Todd Bennett, incumbent District 2 school board member, had not qualified.

Two District 2 school board incumbents, Mary Williams-Scruggs and Kejar Butler, qualified this week to seek re-election.

Jay Flowers qualified early in the week to seek re-election to the Thomasville City Council District 2, Post 1 position.

Incumbent District 1, Post 1 City Council member Terry Scott is being opposed by Nate Tyler and Wanda Warren.
