Suspect leads lawmen to pot plants
THOMASVILLE — After narcotics agents found marijuana in Carlo Bradley’s living room, the suspect led officers to pot plants growing behind his residence and drying marijuana leaves inside.
Thomas County/Thomasville Narcotics/Vice Division agents had already found the large plants when they entered Bradley’s 400 Big Pond Lane residence.
Three plants — chest to eye level tall — were growing in a wooded area behind the residence.
“There were numerous buds on each plants. You could tell someone had been picking buds and leaves from the plants,” said Kevin Lee, Thomas County/Thomasville Narcotics/Vice Division commander.
Upon entering the house, officers detected a strong odor of burned marijuana.
“He said he had marijuana under a coffee table in the living room,” Lee said.
Officers found the contraband in the drying stage.
“He walked us to the plants in the yard. We didn’t tell him we had found them,” Lee said.
Bradley is charged with manufacturing marijuana and misdemeanor marijuana possession.
