Jukebox Oldies and Mainstream to take the SOSMP stage

LIVE OAK, FLA. — It is a great weekend at The Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park (SOSMP) in Live Oak, Fla. for enjoying some great country/Southern rock, dancing, enjoying great food and company and maybe even some outdoor activities! Two of your favorite bands will be in the Music Hall, Jukebox Oldies and Mainstream Band! It’s definitely a good time to be at the SOSMP so come spend the entire weekend!

Valdosta’s Jukebox Oldies Band will take the stage Friday, Feb. 22, in the Music Hall with the greatest hits of the ‘50s-’80s and more! This band is a big favorite for dancers who fill the floor with their best moves when Jukebox Oldies come to the SOSMP.

Band members are Bo Martin, Mike Dame, CF Sirmans, Stacy Sirmans, Billy Folsom and Larry Dean. These guys love to play AM radio hits from the ‘60s but play ‘50s-’80s music also. The band’s motto is Good Times, Great Oldies …Songs You Can Sing Along To “Cause You Know The Words!”

The band’s influences are the Beatles, BB King, Buddy Holly, Rolling Stones, Roy Orbison and The Tams. SWhen this band comes to the SOSMP you can set those dancing shoes on fire dancing the night away! Don’t forget those dancing shoes!

Saturday is set for off the charts good music with Mainstream Band, a Valdosta country/Southern rock band. Band members are Jack Brinson (lead vocals/guitar), Antonio Ruiz (bass), Chris Bell (drums), Steve Taylor (keyboard) and Mike Ritchea (lead guitar). Mainstream Band also plays rock ‘n roll, classic rock, ‘50s-’90s and today’s music, allowing everyone to be part of the show! Mainstream has played such venues as Gulf Shores National Shrimp Festival, UF fraternities, opened for Miranda Lambert and more, played many corporate and chamber events, private parties and more than 100 weddings! Take your sweetheart out for dinner and dancing Feb. 23 in the Music Hall!

Doors to the Music Hall open at 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday for dinner. Friday night special is prime rib, Saturday specials posted at the door. Music begins at 8 p.m.

If you like karaoke, love to meet with friends for an evening of great fun overseen by Ted “TeddyMac Elvis” McMullen, come on out Thursday nights (doors open at 5 p.m, for dinner with specials and order from the regular menu, music is from 7-10 p.m.) and meet a room full of great folks who just love to gather, have dinner, enjoy TeddyMac’s singing and antics, dance a lot and meet new friends. If you would like to sing on the TeddyMac Stage, TeddyMac and Georgie McMullen have your music or bring your own, sign up and take the stage. It’s all in fun. No age limits! And everyone has a great evening that truly will become your favorite night of the week here at the SOSMP.

If you would like to rent one of the cabins, a spot to park your RV/camper or primitive camp for this weekend’s event or one of the many other exciting events at the SOSMP such as Suwannee Rising, a grand new music festival just announced for April 4-6, or if you just need additional info, call the SOSMP at (386) 364-1683, email spirit@musicliveshere.com or go to www.musicliveshere.com.
