Flowers Baking holds service awards ceremony

Officials of Flowers Baking Co. of Thomasville recently held a ceremony to recognize 10 employees for their years of service to the company. Honored at the event were Allen Boone, Brent Howell, Elivia McNish, Markeis Williams, Chris Barnes, Shane Douglas, Jessy Lovett, Jamie Oglesby, Jimmy Martin and Jim Fitzpatrick. 

At the ceremony, Chris Mulford, bakery president, recognized the employees for their service.

“It’s my pleasure to publicly thank these employees for their loyalty and commitment to our company,” said Mulford. “I appreciate each for their individual accomplishments and commitment to excellence.”

Oglesby, Martin and Fitzpatrick were singled out for achieving a significant milestone: They have worked for Flowers Baking Co for 30 years.

“For more than three decades Jamie, Jimmy and Jim have devoted their careers to the success of our company. They are valued team members and I appreciate the contributions they have given respectfully,” Mulford noted.

Flowers Baking Co. of Thomasville, located at 300 S. Madison St., produces and markets fresh breads, buns, and snack cakes that are sold in markets in Georgia, Alabama and Florida under the Nature’s Own, Cobblestone Mill, Sunbeam, and Blue Bird Brands. The bakery is a subsidiary of Flowers Foods (NYSE: FLO). Headquartered in Thomasville, Flowers Foods is a leading producer and marketer of packaged bakery foods for retail and foodservice customers.
