100 days left to get ready for Rose City Run

Dr. and Mrs. Jim Story, directors of the Rose City Run Events, have announced the 42nd annual Rose City 10K Run is at 8:30 a.m., Saturday, April 27. The 40th annual Rose City One Mile Run for children 12 and under will be held at 9:30 a.m., on April 27.

At 8:30 a.m., on April 20, the Saturday preceding the run events, the 38th annual Rose City 5K Walk will be held. Last year there were 1,100 participants to enter the Rose City Run Events from seven states, representing 55 towns and cities.

The Gulf Winds Track Club of Tallahassee, Florida, has chosen the Rose City 10K Run as its Grand Prix 10K Event for 2019.

Applications for this year’s events will appear in a brochure that will be inserted in the Thursday, January 31 edition of the Thomasville Times-Enterprise and, also, will be mailed to last year’s entrants.

Participants also may sign up at the Thomasville YMCA or online at www.ymca.thomasville.org. Click on Rose City Run Events and register. Registration begins February 1.
