Gas main work leading to Kern Street lane closures

THOMASVILLE — Beginning July 5, City of Thomasville Gas Department crews will begin relocating a gas main on Kern Street between Reid and Clark streets. Work is expected to last four days and occur between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. each day.

There will be temporary lane closures in the eastbound lane of Kern Street while the work is underway. The roadway will remain open to local traffic; however, travelers in the area are encouraged to select an alternate route or to prepare for potential traffic delays.

For more information about this project, call the City of Thomasville’s Engineering Department at (229) 227-7009.
