Lego League Team dives into knowledge

Thomas County Central High School teacher Michael Clapper visited Michelle Brinn’s and Ashley Palmer’s First Lego League Team at Thomas County Middle School to teach them about water potability, transportation of water, and usage ideas.  Students brainstormed ideas for this year’s First Lego League Challenge using the information they gained. Clapper encouraged the students to think of ways that their project could help others and to think of ways to modify their idea to make it less cumbersome.

The same group of students also visited the Wastewater Treatment Plant and the City of Thomasville Water Plant to learn how water is cleaned and then discharged back into the river. They also learned how the city residents receive water and how it is turned back on during a power outage.
