Fourth slip-and-fall suspect turns himself in
THOMASVILLE, Ga. — A fourth person suspected of being part of a ring staging fraudulent stip-and-fall accidents turned himself in Monday morning.
Keronda Bernard Hall, 46, of Thomasville turned himself in to the Thomas County Jail-Justice Center and he was charged with theft by deception. His total bond was set at $7,600.
The state Department of Insurance charged three others with staging slip-and-fall accidents
Arrested were last week were Germain Baynard, 20, Ryan Law, 21, and Demetrius Lee, 22.
Special Fraud Agents in the Department of Insurance and the National Insurance Crime Bureau alleged the men staged slip-and-fall accidents at various businesses in Brooks, Colquitt and Thomas counties. The investigation revealed that Bell was the ringleader, planning the slip-and-falls and filing the fraudulent claims.
Baynard, Law, and Lee were booked into the Thomas County Jail and later released on bond. Baynard has been charged with felony theft by deception and Lee has been charged with criminal attempt to commit a felony.
