Rants and Raves

• City/county Managers. Take a drive on Pinetree Blvd. See all of the trash. If you want to make Thomas/Thomasville look good to visitors that is the best place to start looking to improve. In just few weeks will be Victorian Christmas and it sure would improve options of us if it is cleaned up.

• I’ve never seen this city more trashed than lately…go for a drive out Pinetree, off 319, to see what I mean. Clean it up, please.

• I figured it out. The Fairways streets need repaving due to the drag races the residents have.

• I would like to rave about the Veterans Day presentation put on by Jerger Elementary School. As a 22-year Navy veteran and an employee of Thomasville City Schools, I was mightily impressed by the performances of these precious school children. The turnout was huge and the Thomasville High School ROTC color guard was outstanding as always. Anyone who knows me will tell you I am not easily impressed. I was quite simply blown away. Thank you Lawana Rayburn, Jerger Elementary School, the Thomasville High School ROTC color guard, and SMSgt Chad Smith. Bravo Zulu !!!
