Live Oak man suspected in trailer theft

LIVE OAK, Fla. — A Live Oak man is a person of interest by the Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office for a trailer theft.

Cody Phillips, 33, is suspected of stealing a white 2005 Homesteader Challenger Series 6×10 single-axle enclosed utility trailer from a residence in the 18300 block of 116th Place in Live Oak.

According to the SCSO release, multiple witnesses saw Phillips driving a grey/silver Toyota pickup in the area of theft, as well as towing the stolen trailer. 

SCSO investigators believe Phillips tried to sell the trailer in Hamilton County, according to the release.

Phillips has left his residence in Live Oak and his location and the trailer’s location are unknown. 

The release states that it is believed that  Phillips is in the South Georgia area, near Valdosta, or Lowndes County. 

The SCSO seeks any information regarding this theft, the location of Phillips or the trailer.
