Feb. 2
8:30 a.m. — The fifth annual Bulldog Dash 5K and 1 mile fun run at MacIntyre Park Middle School on Glenwood Drive. From 9:30-11 a.m., there will be a Classical Fair at the Thomasville Scholars Academy as well.
11 a.m. — “A Sick Day for Amos McGee,” part of Thomasville Entertainment Foundation’s Family Series, presented in conjunction with the Thomasville Center for the Arts, this fun family musical is based on the 2011 Caldecott Medal-winning children’s book by Philip and Erin Stead. Free admission for students under 18; accompanying adults are $10. The event is at Thomasville Center for the Arts.
Feb. 5
12:30 p.m. — The Georgia Poetry Circuit presents Adrian Matejka, Indiana’s Poet Laureate, sharing his poetry and working with Thomas University students. Presented by Arts for the Community at Thomas University and will be held at Smith-Bonvillian Hall.

7 p.m. — First Presbyterian Church Thomasville is hosting a live simulcast of the IF:GATHERING — a non-denominational Christian women’s conference in Dallas. ALL women in Thomasville and surrounding areas are invited to link arms with us and thousands of others from across the globe as we study the book of Proverbs and the wisdom it imparts on our lives and discipleship. Conference speakers include authors Jennie Allen, Ann Voskamp, Chrystal Evans Hurst, Angie Smith, Christine Caine, LaTasha Morrison and more. 7:30 a.m. — The YMCA is holding the Redbug Run. This is a 5K Obstacle/Trail Run through the woods and fields surrounding Northside Park, 330 Woodland Drive. It is a challenging course that will include 15-plus obstacles throughout the course with the likelihood of ending up dirty, wet and extremely tired by the time you have finished. 8 a.m. — First Option Care Annual 5K Run/ Walk supports the local Pregnancy Resource Center and presented by First Option Care and Thomasville Physical Therapy and Wellness Life Center. 7 p.m. — Don’t miss the fun of the 6th Annual Father Daughter Dance to benefit the Thomasville-Thomas County Humane Society. Dancing, father-daughter photos, photo booth, pet fashion show, sweet treats and raffle. Tickets are $15 per person and include one raffle ticket. Feb. 10
Noon — The Thomasville History Center and Lapham-Patterson House are participating in the Georgia Historical Society’s Super Museum Sunday, a statewide event and part of the 2019 Georgia History Festival. The program invites Georgians to experience the state’s rich history and cultural life and enjoy free admission to participating historic sites, house museums, art museums and other points of interest throughout Georgia, including the Thomasville History Center. This year, Super Museum Sunday will feature nearly 100 venues across the state, the most in the event’s history. Super Museum Sunday is free and open to the public, the Thomasville History Center will offer self-guided tours and scavenger hunts of the property at 725 N. Dawson St. and the Lapham-Patterson House will offer guided tours at 626 N. Dawson St. from noon until 4 p.m.
4 p.m. — Sundays at Four presents Musical Valentines. Songs of romance presented by Tim and Tabitha Peck, Rebecca Fadell, Nicole Davis, Antwon Jolly, Chelsea White, Karl Barton and Jim Amend and held at Trinity Anglican Church.
