Man dies 4 days after wreck
MOULTRIE, Ga. — A Moultrie man who was in a July 1 traffic accident died four days later in a Thomasville hospital.
Mack Arthur Grier, 63, was one of three drivers involved in the accident at about 6 p.m. at the intersection of Veterans Parkway North and U.S. Highway 319.
According to Moultrie Police Department reports, Grier was traveling south on Veterans Parkway in a 2000 Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck and made a left turn onto Highway 319 North.
Grier turned into the path of a 2011 Nissan Sentra driven by Marlene McIntyre of the 100 block of Clarence Norman Road, the reports said. After the impact, Grier’s truck struck a 2017 Toyota Tundra stopped at the red light on Highway 319 and driven by Charles Gorman of the 100 block of Southern Pines Circle.
Gorman told police that he did not remember what caused the accident.
Video from a nearby store showed traffic flowing north to start moving after the light turned green, police said. Two cars went through the intersection, after which Grier turned left into the path of McIntyre.
Grier died on July 5 at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville.
