Archbold to open COVID-19 vaccine schedule appointments

Archbold Memorial Hospital will again be open to scheduling COVID-19 vaccine appointments for eligible community members. Archbold has worked diligently and been able to administer over 16,000 vaccine doses since vaccination began in mid-December.

The state of Georgia is still in Phase 1A+ of their vaccine distribution which includes: healthcare workers, long-term care staff and residents, adults 65 or older and their caregivers, first responders, and funeral home workers. Beginning March 8, 2021: educators, adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their caregivers and parents of children with complex medical conditions will be eligible for a COVID-19 vaccine.

Eligible community members can schedule an appointment by calling Archbold’s COVID-19 vaccine call center at (229) 584-SHOT. The call center is open Monday thru Friday from 8 a.m. to 12 noon. Appointments are available Monday and Wednesday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. An appointment is required to receive a vaccine; walk-ins for vaccines will not be accepted at this time.

Archbold officials understand that the community is eager to receive the vaccine and appreciate everyone’s patience during this time. Visit www.archbold.org/vaccine for more information.
