Positive tests across Archbold system top 1,000
THOMASVILLE — Archbold officials reported Tuesday that to date there have been 1,017 positive test results for COVID-19 across their system, with 66 deaths, since testing began March 11. There also have been 6,538 negative test results.
There have been 404 people admitted to Archbold hospitals since testing started. Over the past week, the system has had 131 new positive test results and 584 new negative results. Forty-nine people have been admitted to Archbold hospitals in the last week for COVID-19. The system has recorded four deaths from COVID-19 in the last week.
As of Tuesday, there were 36 COVID-19 positive patients at Archbold Memorial Hospital, six at Grady General Hospital, two at Mitchell County Hospital and one COVID-19 positive patients at Brooks County Hospital. There are six COVID-19 positive patients at Northside Center for Behavioral and Psychiatric Care.
Archbold also is reporting there are 25 COVID positive patients at Glenn-Mor Nursing Home. There are no COVID positive patients at either Pelham Parkway Nursing Home or Mitchell Convalescent Center.
The Georgia Department of Public Health reports there have been 879 COVID-19 positive tests in Thomas County, with 38 deaths. There also have been 117 people to be hospitalized because of the novel coronavirus.
Statewide, there have been more than 175,000 confirmed positive tests for COVID-19, leading to 3,563 deaths in Georgia and 17,544 people being hospitalized.
The state has administered more than 1.4 million tests.
