Ameris Bank to host fall festival Oct. 4

MOULTRIE, Ga. — Ameris Bank will be hosting its third annual Fall Festival and Trunk or Treat event on Thursday, Oct. 4, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Grass Plaza in the Ameris Bank parking lot.

Activities for this event includes a bounce house, games, candy, food, a dunking booth that will feature Moultrie Police Chief Sean Ladson and Colquitt County Sheriff Rod Howell, and more. All the proceeds from this event are going to the United Way of Colquitt County. The executive director of the United Way is excited about this partnership.

“We have such a strong community that is willing to give to us,” UW Director Caroline Horne said. “The community of Moultrie is a roll your selves up and do it yourself community, and they continue to show it through their actions. We look forward to interacting with the community at the event.”

The United Way will have a booth set up at the Fall Festival so people can sign up for the upcoming Glow-Run, and its a chance to show the community where their money is going.

Last year the Fall Festival and Trunk or Treat had more than 300 guests and for this year, organizer’s think that number will be bigger.

Branch Manager of Ameris Bank and event organizer Kristi Griffin is happy that they can give back to the community.

“Last year we were pushing over 300 people and were crowded. Now we are going to have more space for more folks to come out and join us,” Griffin said. “This event is Ameris’ way to give back to the community, letting them know that we are still involved.”

Donating to the event involves purchasing a $5 game card that will allow kids to participate in the activities.

If you or anyone have any questions or concerns about the event contact Kristi Griffin at 229-985-2222.
