THOMASVILLE — Thomasville Police Department confirmed in a press release that the Monday shooting incident resulted in one fatality and two reported injuries.

At 3:45 p.m. Monday, officers responded to the 1100 block of North Stevens Street where an active shooter was reported.

Multiple people were found with apparent gunshot wounds and two people were taken to Archbold Memorial Hospital for treatment, officials said.

A third person was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the Thomas County Sheriff’s Office are assisting the investigation.
