Hands On Thomas County (HOTC) is now accepting Project Site Proposals for the 16th annual HOTC Day, which will take place on Saturday, October 19 from 9 a.m.-12 noon. HOTC Day is the community’s largest day of service benefiting area non-profits. Last year, 1397 volunteers completed done-in-a-day projects at 66 different project sites!
Non-profit and community agencies in Thomas County who have a need for volunteer assistance are encouraged to submit their project ideas by August 31 to be considered for HOTC Day 2019. It’s easy! Simply go to www.HandsOnThomasCounty.org/non-profits to register. This is an excellent opportunity for local non-profits to not only “get things done”; but also create awareness about their mission and needs, and garner new support.
Registration for businesses, groups and organizations who wish to volunteer for HOTC Day 2019 opens September 1. Participating volunteers will receive a HOTC T-shirt, lunch, a pedometer to track volunteer steps as part of HOTC’s Healthy Living Initiative in partnership with Live Better, but most importantly the rewards of a job well done!
Hands On Thomas County connects citizens as volunteers to non-profit and community agencies, needs, and service opportunities in Thomas County through annual events such as HOTC Day; and every day through ongoing volunteer placement. For more information or to volunteer, call (229) 226-5200 or visit www.HandsOnThomasCounty.org.
