Hill to be named Mississippi city’s deputy chief

Timothy Hill Sr., the son of Willie Hill and Gloria Ross, will be sworn in as the assistant chief of the Wiggins (Mississippi) Police Department carrying the title of deputy chief September 1 at 3:30 p.m.
Hill, a 1990 Thomasville High School alumnus, is a two-time Officer of the Year recipient, in addition to winning Citizen of the Year in 2019. He is very involved in the community, hosting annual community feedings for Thanksgiving as well as senior citizen feeding at Ferris O’Neal Civic Center. He also hosts movie nights at Reynolds Field in Wiggins, teaming up with several churches and local businesses in the community.
He is also a retired Marine Corps Operation Iraqi Freedom veteran with an outstanding service record.
