CAIRO — A search warrant executed last week as part of an ongoing drug investigation led to multiple arrests.
Agents with the Grady County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit executed a search warrant Tuesday afternoon on the 100 block of Lakeview Drive. Thirty-two-year-old Heather Hartley and a juvenile were detained inside, and a search of the residence uncovered an unspecified quantity of methamphetamine, Xanax pills, scales, marijuana, meth pipes and a total of ten firearms.
Hartley was transported to the Grady County Detention Center where she was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, felony possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of a drug-related object.
The juvenile was later released to a family member, a sheriff’s office press release states.
Warrants were issued for the arrest of Hartley’s husband, Adam Keith Hartley, who was not present at the residence at the time the search warrant was executed. Drug agents later located Adam Hartley on Friday. A press release states that the suspect was located in a child’s bedroom in the same residence where the search warrant was executed.
Adam Hartley, 29, was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, felony possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, felony possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of a drug-related object.
The investigation which led to the search warrant is still ongoing.
Chris Luckey, Drug Unit commander, is urging anyone with more information to continue to call in with tips.
“The Grady County Sheriff’s Office and the Drug Unit will continue to combat the drug problem we have in our community,” he said.
