Favor Christian students give to others

The students here at Favor Christian Academy, including me have done some wonderful things in the past year.

God has blessed us to bless others. In the month of October, we raised money for breast cancer and we donated it to the local cancer society organizatiom.

We also had a mini carnival to help raise money. At the end of the month we all dressed in pink to honor Breast Cancer Awareness month.

During the month of November, the school donated nonperishable items and toys to needy families.

During the month of December we had a Christmas breakfast for the school and parents. We sang for Flowers Bakery Corporate Luncheon under the direction of Lynda Davis on Dec. 11.

We are truly thankful to the Flowers and Thomasville National Bank for their financial support to our school.

We went Christmas caroling throughout the Thomasville community at Glen-Mor Nursing Home, Thomasville National Bank, Archbold Hospital and many other places.

The year 2015 was a year of giving and we look forward to giving in the year 2016.

We will start the year 2016 by raising money for the Jack Hadley Black History Museum. We appreciate Jack Hadley for all his time and dedication to provide historical resources to our community.

What’s happening at Favor Christian Academy? I suppose the words “Giving back to the community says it all.”  Remember that it is better to give than receive.
