Early voting begins in Cairo, Thomasville

THOMASVILLE — Early voting for the general and special election began in Thomasvile and Cairo on October 12 and will last three weeks before election day November 2.
Early voting will continue until October 28, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.-5p.m in Thomasville and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. in Cairo.
It will also be available on October 16 and 23 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m in both cities.
Thomasville early voting will take place at the Thomas County Elections Office at 1402 E. Jackson St. and Cairo early voting will take place at the Grady County Courthouse.
Frank Scoggins, Thomas County election supervisor, said he encourages residents to take advantage of the early voting days.
“Vote early and get it out of the way and if there’s a problem we’re here to solve it,” he said. “It’s certainly a lot more convenient often times. You don’t know what’s going to happen on election day.”
