Warriors welcome new faculty and staff

THOMASVILLE- Brookwood welcomes new faces for the 2023-2024 academic year.
Joining Brookwood’s Lower School, Ashley Hudson will teach Second Grade and Kelli VanDuyne will teach Third Grade. Jesse Miller will teach Fifth Grade and coach baseball, softball, and basketball and Gigi Jackson will be a teaching assistant.
A familiar face and four new employees will be joining the Middle and Upper School. Phillip Ashley will teach music and act as the Music Director for the All School Musical as well as the Literary Coordinator and Marin Peacock will be the One Act Play Director. Returning from the class of 2017, Eli Miller will be in the Science department and will coach basketball. Mal Esteril will teach Social Studies and coach the Varsity Girls Soccer team. Rachel Kelso ‘98 will teach Marketing and Physical Education, coach basketball, track, and cross country.
Six new team members will be joining athletics. Jack Chambers can be spotted on the soccer field as the Varsity Boys Head Coach. Taylor Mae Jones is welcomed to Brookwood as the Athletic Trainer and Jared Singletary as the Clay Target Team Coach. Jerry Ridley will be the Varsity Girls Basketball Head Coach.
Returning to Brookwood, 2017 alum Tyler Hester will act as Fields Manager and will coach baseball and football. Ann Murray Jackson ‘21 will coach softball.
Administrative additions include Ray Sturrup as the School Resource Officer and Kim Jason as the School Nurse and a teaching assistant.
Rev. Wallace Marsh is shifting roles. He will now be the school’s Chaplain. Dustin Oebel will be the Director of Facilities and Caroline Spence will be an Administrative Assistant.
Lower School teachers Jenna Hall, Kelli Zolt and Lauren Harrell will bear new positions. Hall will teach Fifth Grade, Zolt Third Grade and Harrell will be the Librarian.
A number of teaching and administrative staff will undertake additional athletic roles. Will Dettor is the Athletic Director, Brandon French will be the Head Coach of the wrestling team and Mario Mathis will be the Boys and Girls Head Track Coach. Tiffany Nunnally will be the Cross Country Head Coach and Amy Stalvey will be the Assistant Cross Country Coach.
