Brookwood quartet wins championship at state lterary competition

- Brookwood had a successful trip to the GISA State Literary Competition on Tuesday, March 15, with several students or groups placing and one state championship in Quartet. Brookwood students traveled to Gordon State College in Barnesville for the GISA AAA State Literary Competition.
The Quartet took home a state championship for their performance of “Swing Down Chariot.” Members of the quartet are Taylor Huffman ‘23, Matthew Lauderdale ‘25, Isaac Nunnally ‘24, and Isaac Richardson ‘23.
Several other students placed at the competition:
Trio – Laine Clendenin ‘22, Ellie Godwin ‘24, and Eva Nunnally ‘22 (state runner-up)
Girls Solo – Elise McPherson ‘22 (third place)
Spelling – Anna Ryan ‘23 (fourth place)
